Tell us about your background
I'm 29 years old, living in Tel Aviv. I was raised in Poriya Neve Oved, a beautiful area in the Jordan Valley close to Degania and Kinneret. I spent six years in the army, and my final role was as an officer in the 8200 Unit. A year ago, I completed my B.Sc. in Computer Science from the Open University.
Why did you choose to work at Sentra, and when did you join?
I joined Sentra nearly a year ago, on March 14. I chose Sentra because from the first moment, it felt like home. Everyone was nice, smiling, and talking freely with each other. Beyond this, I think creating a DSPM solution is a real challenge. It begins with making important decisions about our specialization in a world filled with so many cybersecurity threats. I also like the fact that one of the most important aspects in our field is getting to know and becoming a professional on any cloud vendor we decide to support in our product.
What is your role and what are your responsibilities?
I'm a software engineer. My job is to maintain and develop scanning capabilities. This includes working on the scanning architecture and ensuring the system is visible and scalable.
What advice do you have for people getting started in your field?
Even if you feel like you fully understand something, keep asking questions and stay curious.
What’s the best thing about working at Sentra?
The best part is our people. They are very smart and professional, but they also know how to have fun and joke around.
Can you tell me something surprising you discovered while working at Sentra?
I discovered that my intuition was incredibly accurate. It truly does feel like home. Additionally, I was amazed by how quickly things happen here, and we have never compromised on quality.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose and why?
If I had the opportunity to live anywhere else in the world, I might choose Sri Lanka or Costa Rica, preferably near the beach. This would allow me to enjoy all the fantastic things it offers such as surfing, volleyball, and the unique sunset each day brings.
What's on your professional 'bucket list' that you'd like to accomplish in the next 5-10 years?
I aim to master the art of writing clean, maintainable code, and excel in software design and architecture. My vision is for Sentra to continue being the best data security posture management (DSPM) solution in the market, recognized by every company that values data privacy and management as the must-have tool for their security arsenal. I want to ensure we not only lead in innovation but also set the standard.
