Why did you choose to work at Sentra, and when did you join?
I joined Sentra in June 2022 (almost a year now!). I joined because I saw the opportunity of building something huge from scratch.
What is your role and what are your responsibilities?
I am a data scientist in our data team. My responsibility is to label the assets we scan with valuable information to our customers, as well as pushing forward relevant technologies and infrastructures that can improve our work.
What advice do you have for people getting started in your field?
First understand the business problem you’re trying to solve, as well as the problem setting. Then you might be able to solve the problem quickly with "simple" algorithmic methods. If you see that ML is the right approach - then quality data is your best friend, even if you need to create it.
What’s the best thing about working at Sentra?
This is a no-brainer: it’s the people I work with. I also like the responsibilities I’m trusted with.
Can you tell me something surprising you discovered while working at Sentra?
That all the rumors about engineering talent coming into the industry from 8200 are true 🙊
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose and why?
I am really bad with choices as the Fomo is very strong with me.
Australia sounds like a place with very good vibes, or Japan with their unique culture. But I must say I really like it here 🙂
What's on your professional 'bucket list' that you'd like to accomplish in the next 5-10 years?
Leading the research in the Leading DSPM company
Still be 'on top of the game' with the newest technology and the theory behind it
Maintain work-life balance with my big family 🙂
